My favourite event has to be Paul Gulda’s piano recital. I had no idea that he was Friedrich Gulda’s son until he played a few notes... such a beautiful sound, such a clever programme! Absolutely remarkable. He stayed very long after his concert, talking to a very lucky few of us, drinking Austrian wine... It was an unforgettable evening! Another outstanding event for me was the talk about Zemlinsky given by Moskovitz: a certain Alfred Brendel was in the audience... it had to be amazing! I actually saw Alfred Brendel at another ACF event as well. That certainly speaks volumes about the high quality of the events at ACF... Thank you ACF for so many wonderful events & for giving me the opportunity of meeting lovely people and making friends.
